Meet the Lobby Series

Chair of Conservatives in Communications, Katie Perrior, spoke with Financial Times Chief Political Correspondent, Jim Pickard, at our first ‘Meet the Lobby’ virtual event.

He talked about the role of a lobby journalist, what it involves and the interactions that take place between ministers, special advisers and civil servants to put his stories to bed each day.

Supporters heard from the man himself as to what PR tricks really make him mad, how the FT structures its day and the coverage that it produces, and how best to get their case across to very busy journalists working ridiculously tight deadlines.
