For over a decade, Tories in Comms has existed as an independent and informal industry network for conservative communicators who work for corporations, consultancies, charities, themselves and others.
Today, more than 1,000 supporters from the worlds of PR, public affairs, digital, marketing, events, publishing, journalism, advertising and policy-making – including 50 parliamentary patrons – are actively involved.
We run an active e-newsletter, 'In-Conversation', which includes people moves and changes, details of CiC and industry events, recent industry news and job opportunities.
We organise networking opportunities for supporters to meet and hear from guests like Ed Vaizey, Guy Black, Katie Perrior, Michael Gove, Oliver Dowden, Priti Patel, Robbie Gbb and Tom Tugendhat.
In 2020, we launched our CiC-Start Mentoring Scheme whereby we paired 20 mentees with 20 mentors for six months. In total, we have now successfully paired 120 supporters. Applications open.
We launched our annual poll in 2020 and have repeated it since. We survey our supporters on both internal and external topics from experience to trustworthy news sources.
